Eighth, take the teachers who will teach you a method.
By method I mean a way of studying. Some teachers give you pre-made meals, others teach you the ingredients to make the meal.
In some ways the pre-made meals arranged aesthetically on the plate are easier to swallow, and sometimes more enjoyable. Unfortunately getting short answers after long hours of studying helps only in the short term, and you will always and only be repeating others arguments. And then, when you encounter someone who has done their own work, you will just keep pulling out the finished product, while they will take you back to basic ingredients that you never used.
To use another metaphor, some teachers show you they can ride the bike. Others teach you how to get on the bike, take the training wheels off, and then let go…without you ever knowing it. You might fall down a couple of times, but in the end, you can ride the bike.
So take those teachers who teach you how to find the answers yourself. It will be harder, but you will leave being able to ride the trails without them (and hopefully take others with you).
